Lukas kommer till Världen

Lukas first visit to Liseberg

We took Lukas to his first amusement park yesterday afternoon. We got there a bit later than we had planned(almost 4pm) and it was already full of people so we didn't get to ride as many rides as we would've wanted and the ones we did ride we had a wait in line for a bit.. we did however manage to ride Farfar's bil(Grandfather's car) + Merry-Go-Round once and the Flying Elephant 3 times!! Lukas didn't understand the concept of waiting in line so it was a bit tricky but we managed to divert his impatience with a bag of popcorn and then it went fairly well...

After around 2 hours, we came home and pappa Johan cooked us his special Swedish classic dish, Biff Rydberg...mmmums!!

Happy Saint Lucy's Day!!

Now that we are parents, we celebrate the Lucia day a bit more than just eating saffron buns(Lussekatter). We get to dress Lukas up!!! You have three choices, 1 - dress him white as a stjärngossar(angel), 2 - dress him up as tomtenisse, or last but not least as a 3 - gingerbread man. As you can see in the fotos below, Lukas was a tomtenisse :P

Lukas' daycare had a little St.Lucia Dag gathering today. Kids were so cute all dressed up :P

Glad Tredje Advent

We celebrated the 3rd Advent which is actually tomorrow at Ragnhild's today :) As always it was good food + good company. Tack så hemskt mycket igen Ragnhild!!

Here's Lukas singing the Swedish Birthday song when he saw the dessert cake.. He associates cakes with birthdays :P

On a different note, we went to a vintage store in majorna today and got some good finds..

On a funnier note, we took Lukas to BVC for his annual checkup to find out there was no check up today. The meeting date that was in his checkup book was from last year December 8!!! Dumma dumma foräldrar... well...we did get to weigh Lukas while we were there and we were disappointed to find out he is below average in weight... just 13 kgs. Gotta fatten up Lukas!!!

Ragnhild's Surprise for Lukas

On top of his awesome 3 wheel bicycle, farmor knitted a beauuuuuuuutiful sweater for Lukas!!!! We tried it on today and it fits perfectly!Tack så hemskt mycket Ragnhild...it was really a thoughtful gift, we love it so much and it will keep Lukas so warm this winter:)

Lukas' 2nd Birthday Party

P.s. Tomorrow is his real birthdate and we will celebrate by having Johan's famous pankaka for breakfast before i go to work. Unfortunately i work late on Tuesdays then go to Swedish Class in the evening so i won't be seeing the little man after breakfast, but farmor(Ragnhild) has a surprise for him and they will celebrate together with Johan again tomorrow after daycare so i don't feel too bad :)

Lukas will turn two tomorrow(Dec.6th)!!!! We already had an awesome family party yesterday afternoon and will post pictures maybe tonite, but i just wanted to post this foto in particular - it's Lukas running to the balloon when he saw it first thing in the morning yesterday.

Thank you soooo much Auntie Ninjette for the beautiful balloon again!!
