To top off my 40th birthday celebration, it overlapped with Easter holidays so we all went out to Marstrand for the long weekend. Wow.. the weather here in Göteborg is amazing. Super sunny and clear blue skies!! It feels like summer already!! Well.. um Swedish summer where it's a bit chilly that is :P
It was a really wonderful weekend. Ragnhild already had gone food shopping for the whole weekend, and Chef Michael did all the cooking!! And as if it couldn't get even better, Ragnhild baked her infamous strawberry shortcake for me :)
For me though, the best part was seeing Lukas and Erik/Hanna starting to interact with each other. Oooh, it's going to be a great summer!!! Look at the little rascals!! :P
P.s. Lukas already took a dip in the cold sea... um...cause his mamma was busy doing something else!!
Happy Birthday once more ... and you'll never look your age, girl!
That strawberry cake needs to be teleported to Brooklyn asap ... it looks FANTASTIC. So nice to see the whole clan celebrating YOU (and Easter) in Marstrand, and the weather being so nice too! All of northern Europe must've been lucky, since my parents and grandmother had beautiful "Summer" weather as well.
This Summer will definitely be the start of the cousins growing up together as friends, Astrid Lindgren style :)

I'm so happy you had an amazing weekend specially being with the people you love and love you back!! The cake looks so yummy, tell Johan's mom that she has a big fan, everytime you post this, it just looks delicious; I think i'm going to try to make it this weekend, wish me luck:)
