These boots are made for walking... or... clowning around :P Here's a video clip of Lukas with his new favorite toy he got from his Auntie Maria yesterday. He woke up at 6am, ran into the living room and brought it to our bed. Johan said he had it with him pretty much the whole day today too. And when i came home he brought it over and we had some fun until he got distracted and wanted to watch Pororo.
What a cute boy (no longer a baby!). I am also impressed with his Korean, good job Lukas Mama! How adorable he walks around the house in his rain boots!

he is so cute, love the rain boots! Oh, how much I wish you guys could be here so that Lukas and Luca could have playdates together (as well as the mamas and the papas) Is lukas saying words in both Korean and Swedish?

Yoohyun, i too am quite impressed at how much Korean he knows!! And it's purely by just talking to him in Korean all the time, and reading him Korean books in the evening :)
The thing with the rain boots, i was packing the list of items the pedagog wrote out for us and he insisted on wearing them :P

Pao Pao, yeah, i so wish i was there too.. really... You know, when we were in Rio, Johan and i very briefly talked about moving back to NY... crazy idea but who knows?
I think Lukas speaks more Korean for now. But he seems to understand Swedish as well. I think it's because i am much more chattier than Johan when i am with him. But now that he is at Swedish daycare, it will be the other way around!!

YES MOVE BACK TO NY!!! Matt and I always talk about how we are moving back to CA because we miss having friends around... but if you were to move back, we will stay put for sure!!! It will be Awesome to have you guys live here again... but then again, you cannot compete with the Swedish social system as far as medicare and education... alas...
I am TRYING to speak Korean to Sky but I must say I am not very patient with it. But I am going to do my best to make sure she speaks fluent Korean.

Oh, his Korean will get all confused by his Dagis ... but keep up the great work.
Tobin's formerly fluent German is completely mixed up through school (grammar, vocabulary, everything). However, i know from Mika that around age five they are much more able to separate two languages again.
Many kids stop speaking the secondary language for a while, but still understand everything perfectly fine. If you get through that phase (where he talks back in Swedish), you will come out the other end with a bilingual child. How awesome would it be for Lukas to eventually speak fluent Korean as well?
These days, Mika sometimes speaks German to me even if i started an English conversation ;-)
