This is pretty much my staple breakfast the last 2 and 1/2 weeks here in Sweden. Slice of cheese, ham and cucumber on buttered bread or in this case buttered knäckebröd with orange juice. I didn't use to eat breakfast when i was in NY but now i eat it everyday! I think it's a very good habit. Sometimes i have the "Start" brand cereal with yogurt or milk on the side but that gets too filling!

this brings back great memories! when i lived in switzerland breakfast was my favorite. as you remember I love cheese, cold cuts. bread and pastries (johan must feel back in paradise!)
closest sandwich so far still the ones at d'espana (thinking of it makes me hungry, i think i'm going to have one tomorrow :)

The great thing about NY is that they sell all these ingredients? I've seen the Knackbröd at Gracefully, and the rest is easy no Paola?
They don't have D'espana here....that's a pity.
