Summer is here
Another warm day in Gothenburg! Lukas and i had a little picnic near the pond after i picked him up from daycare today. FYI, Lukas went back to daycare after being home(from his toothache + fever) almost a whole week today, luckily it went well. Here are some pix of Lukas eating his mellanmål. Not the stick :P

Xtra space!!
While Lukas and i were at the bio the other day, Johan and farbror Gurra took out the ugly blue plastic thingamagigy from our balcony and built a suuuuuuuuuuper nice deck!!
This morning, Lukas and i trecked to Johanneberg flower/fruit store and bought 3 lavendar and one strawberry plant - kudos to von Changs :) To inaugurate our super nice balcony, we had dinner there this evening. It is a very very summery day today by the way..so nice...

In the woods...
The backside of the Göteborg Botanical Garden is a big forest with wild flowers and trees. And that's where we hung out this afternoon. It's soo lush and green these days... just awesome!!
Lukas passed out on our way home.. he is still sleeping(8pm)...worried that he will wake up in the middle of the night now. Oh well..we see..

Lukas's first movie theatre experience!!
It was a red day(holiday) so i took our Lukas to see Alfons Åberg at the big theatre in the city yesterday!! Normally he loves Alfons but he couldn't wait until it was over... too many kids crying and all the talking, and it wasn't as good as the ones we have at home. But we had fun!
Afterwards, i treated him to a water gun and Swedish meatballs. He isn't eating much tho.. he has a molnar coming out and is giving him a lot of grief - fever, tender gums etc.. He is home again today from daycare. Hope he gets over this soon, poor little guy...

After practicing both his bikes(running bicycle in the morning, the three wheel bicycle in the afternoon), Lukas and i made some sandbox art together :)
p.s. that big scar on his right cheek is not bicycle related, he got that at home running to mommy and falling right into a corner wall of the apartment on friday :( goes to show, anything can happen...

Baby shower... or.. Barn Dusch :)
I was invited to celebrate Carina and her second baby today. It was a cozy gathering with only a handful of her girlfriends over at her beautiful home. Carina of course went out of her way to bake cupcakes and customize her own mix of green tea for everybody even with her fully belly!! Crazy woman :)
It's funny.. the few girlfriends i have made here.. are mostly Polish! In New York, the Germans(you know who you are) were the majority :)
